Support Daniel Dae Kim! he's a great actor and deserves to have this opportunity.

'Hawaii Five-0': Daniel Dae Kim on staying in Hawaii, his character's background.

Daniel Dae Kim isn't quite sure how he managed to change acting jobs -- from "Lost" to "Hawaii Five-0" -- while staying in the place he's called home for the past six years. He's just happy it did.

"That's a really good question," he tells Zap2it when we ask him about it on the "Five-0" set. "For all the stars to have aligned for me to stay in Hawaii the way I have, I feel very lucky. Fortunate is a better word."

Transitioning from one Oahu-filmed show to another has allowed him to keep himself and his family in one place, although it has made for some odd moments as "Hawaii Five-0" films in some of the same spots where he spent several years playing Jin on "Lost."

"We actually shot the other day on the beach where I shot five years of 'Lost,'" Kim says. "That was a little bit surreal to kind of go back to familiar territory, but with different surroundings."

In the reboot of "Hawaii Five-0," Kim plays Chin Ho Kelly, a former Honolulu police detective who was driven off the force but finds a way back in the game when McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) offers him a job on his team.

J.J. Abrams Is Now Pitching the New Locke–Ben Linus Show

Are you ready for Linus & Locke? In news that could cause the Lost fan base to have a synchronized aneurysm, Vulture hears that last week, J.J. Abrams and frequent collaborators Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec (Alias, Mission: Impossible 4) began pitching a comedic drama to the networks that would have Michael Emerson and Terry O'Quinn — a.k.a. Benjamin Linus and John Locke/Smokey — playing former black-ops agents.

The idea of Emerson and O'Quinn reuniting isn't completely new: In February, the duo told TV Guide that they were looking to put together a post-Lost TV project for themselves; the rumors were revived again last month when Emerson repeated his hopes for a new show while doing publicity for the Lost full-series DVD collection. Still, all the talk seemed to be in the realm of "maybe one day." Turns out plans for a show are very real and very active — and the involvement of Abrams and other Bad Robot types means there's a really good chance the project will soon find a home.

As always with all things Abrams, details are sketchy, but insiders said the potential show — which we've heard carries the working title Odd Jobs — would have a dose of humor. It's not clear whether Appelbaum and Nemec will include any elements of an idea floated by O'Quinn last winter that had the two former Lost-mates serving as suburban hit men.

V’ star wants Josh Holloway for guest role

Photobucket

V star Elizabeth Mitchell has revealed that she wants her former Lost co-star Josh Holloway to appear on the show.

Mitchell, who previously played Juliet Burke on the ABC drama, told E! Online that she would like to be reunited with her on-screen lover.

“I need that, right?” she asked. “Wouldn’t that be wonderful?”

However, she admitted that a potential film career could hinder Holloway’s chances of appearing on the program.

“C’mon, he’s a movie star,” she said. “He needs to go be a movie star. He’s so delightful.”

The actress also insisted that the forthcoming second season of V will be “so much better” than the first.

“It comes back in November, and we just started filming,” she explained. “I feel like [season one] set the groundwork and then it’s off and running, which I needed it to be. It’s more fun for me.”

The new season of V is expected to begin airing in November.

`Lost' alumni Emerson, O'Quinn pursuing TV project

NEW YORK – Michael Emerson confirms he and former fellow "Lost" star Terry O'Quinn are shopping around for ideas for a TV show.

Emerson says they both want something more lighthearted than "Lost." He hopes the show can acknowledge their "age and frailty." Emerson says he envisions a show where, if their characters get hit in the face, they "don't get up for a month."

"There are a couple of ideas being batted around," said Emerson
"I think some veteran writers are cooking things up and eventually if anyone cooks up something really good then somebody might get behind it and shoot it...If a project can be made out of two actors that really work well together and have a great track record and have high visibility, then it should work in our case."

As for that show with Terry, Michael says they're hoping for something lighter than their most recent roles. Maybe even a...comedy.

"This is why we were willing to team up," Michael tells me. "Both of us were interested in a change of pace, a change of scene. And both of us wanted to do something more light-hearted. I don't know if that means the new Odd Couple or anything like that, but we're both interested in emerging from the darkness and having a little more fun and a little more twinkle in our eye."

I would love for them to do a show like Law & Order, in which we could watch Terry O"Quinn and Michael Emerson eating doughnuts all day, and chasing criminals around in a police car. Wouldn't that be fun?

Henry Ian Cusick To Guest Star On 'Law & Order: SVU

Photobucket

Henry Ian Cusick is returning to TV this Fall! The actor has just signed on for a role on Law & Order: SVU as a graphic artist who flirts with Detective Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay).

His Dharma hatch fail safe key sold for a whopping $11,000 at the LOST auction in Los Angeles just last month. Fans proudly wear his face plastered on their chests, shouting to the world that he is their constant, too. But on September 22nd, the actor that portrayed the beloved time-traveling Scotsman, Henry Ian Cusick, will be taking on a much different role in Law & Order: SVU.

In the episode entitled "Bullseye," Cusick guest stars as a suspect from a previous case that Detectives Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Stabler (Christopher Meloni) need to call in to help crack a new one. Though the episode was not available for reviewing at press time, LA TV Insider Examiner wants to point out that because Cusick is playing a former suspect, his character will undoubtedly be shrouded in mystery which will serve to intrigue not only the audience but the other characters, as well.

"You know, I was looking to get back into TV as quickly as possible [but] I wanted to get away from Desmond," Cusick explained. "It just seemed like I was no longer Ian Cusick; I was Desmond. So I wanted to sort of shed that skin."

And there is no doubt that Cusick saw SVU as one of the other great dramas into which he could sink his teeth:

"Coming off a show like LOST, there were other offers, but it was hard to get excited about anything because, you know, LOST was such a great show. But I felt I had a little bit of input into this character, and also knowing who I was going to be working with."
